Captain Craig Mitchell
Craig Mitchell is the founder of Mitchell Aviation Consulting Ltd and an aviation safety and training specialist with more than three decades of experience across military, commercial and general aviation. Drawing on over 12,000 flight hours and senior leadership roles with a major Middle Eastern airline, he has participated in flight safety, incident investigation and risk management programmes, developed runway‑safety taxonomies, and authored widely used safety guidance. As a former Deputy Chief Pilot, Chief Flying Instructor and Training Standards Manager, he has designed competency‑based training frameworks, overseen pilot selection and career development, and managed large Airbus FBW training operations. Underpinning this practical background is an MBA in Aviation Management (Distinction) and formal qualifications in flying instruction and flight safety, giving him a rare blend of operational insight, regulatory understanding and strategic leadership.
